So I thought it would be fun to make and sell beauty products as a fun little hobby, aside from my career. I already know how to make the products, but i’d like some good advise on how to advertise and promote my products to people.

You’re stepping into a very touching area. If you intend to sell them, you have to be licensed. There is also the matter of health and FDA regulations in the preparation and containment of such products. Otherwise, you could be looking at some serious fines. I didn’t mean to discourage you. I wish you every success with your endeavor.
Give out samples…go to some cosmetology schools and give demonstrations there…advertise on Craigslist.
