B&B has started stocking Keihls products in the rooms! My very favorite brand. But I hadn’t used their stuff in a while, because it’s expensive and I was all "Ha, I’ll just buy crap in the drugstore, it’s all the same anyway…" but now I remember that it’s *not* the same and I really, really miss using high-end beauty products. Dammit.

My girlfriend swears by Fashion Fair, they have a skin care line to go along with their makeup. There’s also Palmer’s but for me it’s hit and miss. Personally there’s this spa line ( it’s not too expensive) called Dermalogica that is really gentle but really cleans and moisturises. I’ve had really good results with it. Be prepared to shell out a couple hundred bucks but a little goes a long way.
Here are some suggestions hope it helps:
….Black Opal
….Beverly Johnson
….Queen Latifa’s line…Cover Girl
….Iman costmetics
….Palmers
….Dark and Lovely
….Ponds
….Cover Girl… for people of color
….Avon….for people
Product containing Shea butter is perfect for extra dry skin
stay from the face unless indecated its very rich and may clog pores of the face.
For refrence pick up a Essence magazine now, and then, they usually have great articles, and suggestions.
Good luck.
I am a woman of color, and I have tried various skin care products. I finally found a skin care line that is great. It is called Arbonne. The skin care is self-adjusting to any skin type, and you will experience results within weeks. The products are botanically based. It is abolutely amazing!! I love the products so much that I am a consultant. If you’d like to get more information about the product, please visit my website .
You can also try Beauticontol. There is a special line for women of color, there is also a sensitive skin line that might be right for you as well.. If you’d like you can check out to see the products. Or you can email me with any questions.
Go to a Black Hair Care salon, they sell lots of African soaps and that are 100% natural.
